Daddy, I Want To Work With You
Arguably one of the best-known bloopers in history. Robert Kelly, a Western expert on Korea, was interviewing the impeachment proceedings of South Korean president Park Geun-Hye. He was doing it from his office at home, so he should have been safe from interruption, right? Wrong!
His two daughters came casually strolling into the room while he was busy, but that isn't even the juicy bit. The real story is how his wife swooped in like an eagle grabbing both children before silently leaving the room. If the camera hadn't seen them, we wouldn't have known they had come into the room.
Just Another Regular News Report
With breaking news, a news network always puts its best foot forward. It uses its most effective people to create the best content quickly. The British public must have gotten pretty excited when the news came one day in 2017 with the breaking news and veteran anchor Hugh Edwards on screen.
But then suddenly, the screen starts showing random clips, with breaking news announcements in between and images of an unperturbed Edwards preparing for the report. It turned out this was a technical error and went on for a few minutes before everything went back to normal, and Edwards started reading the news like nothing else happened.
Hold On; The Criminal Was A Hamster?
When creating a news report, one of the most essential aspects is preparing the segment. This includes getting the story straight, writing it in the correct tone, and getting it within the time frame. The other important aspect is ensuring that the image used is the correct one for the story.
Someone missed a step in this news report, which was a pretty big deal considering it was about the story of missing teenager Molly Bish. While they had a name of a possible perpetrator, the image didn't fit the name unless a hamster named Rodney Stanger was responsible for Bish's disappearance.
Smooth Talker
News anchors and weather reporters are meant to remain composed while doing their reports. The goal is to stay impartial no matter what the story, but it can also be difficult with the emotional effect of certain stories. Not for BBC Weatherman Michael Fish.
Instead of becoming expressive and intense with doing a news report about a possible hurricane in 1987, he remained casual and relaxed. The public mistook this for him brushing off the hurricane claims and didn't take precautions when one of the most significant storms in British history wreaked havoc on the UK. He issued an apology.
There Are More Important Things
Budding Journalists dream about winning awards, writing and covering hard news, and maybe even making a difference in people's lives with their skills. This is why Good Day Orlando anchor John Brown took offense when he had to cover a story about one of the Kardashian sisters.
He proclaimed live on air that he refused to cover that because he deemed it non-news. His co-anchor disagreed, but he stood firm. It must be noted, though, that the story was about Kylie Jenner Naming her rabbit Bruce. Still no news, but also not about the Kardashians, who he said he was sick of.
Quick, We're Having A Quake
Being a broadcast reporter can be a dangerous job. They can be required to report from warzones or dangerous neighborhoods, where things can get out of control and their lives can be endangered. Hence why most anchors and reporters have pretty good flight responses. This was on full display during a KTLA news report.
During the report, the studio suddenly started shaking. The anchor immediately shouted that an earthquake was in process and advised his co-anchor and everyone else to find cover. He, of course, was first underneath the news desk, and his co-anchor seemed to find it humorous.
Get Out Of My Way, Boy
Being out in the field is a staple of broadcast journalism. Often the reporter is on the front line and is either on the crime scene or in the thick of where the action is. But another thing that is part and parcel of field reporting is dealing with a shot bomber every other time.
But one guy who wasn't having it was KEYT 13's, John Palminteri. During a report, the young man decided to get in the shot and take a selfie of himself and Palminteri. The journo wasted no time and shoved the kid out of his shot before continuing his report.
That Bird Got You Good
Birds are fascinating creatures, which is why past times like birdwatching are a thing. But they can also cause some major problems, especially when there is an infestation. A reporter discovered this first-hand while reporting on a bird infestation right under a tree full of birds.
While doing his report, a bird pooped on his shoulder. Trying to make good humor of the situation, he threw his head back in laughter. Huge mistake, because next thing you know, another bird had pooped right into his open mouth. The scene was hilarious... if a little gross.
It's Been A Long Day
Reporters have it easy, right? They get paid the big bucks for doing a couple of work hours. But the truth is that many anchors and reporters do research for long hours before their show starts and sometimes even work into the night covering specials and breaking news.
This was the case for Deedee Sun, a reporter for KSCH12. She was reporting on a snowstorm, and the coverage had gone into the night. Feeling it after a long day, she let out a yawn live on-air with millions of viewers watching. She saw the funny side, though, and shared a video of the incident on her Facebook page.
Take My Breath Away
Most of the incidents here have been things that could have been controlled or executed better. But sometimes, it's just something that was out of their control, like this incident involving anchor Poppy Harlow who saw a dramatic turn of events while reporting on the war on ISIS.
While speaking, she started showing signs that she was having trouble breathing. CNN, where she worked, cut to a commercial, leaving everyone concerned about what was going on. Eventually, they returned to broadcasting, with Harlow admitting that she wasn't feeling well and passed out due to the heat.
Getting Stuck In
An old British expression goes, "get stuck in." It means getting to work, breaking a sweat, and maybe even getting a little dirty. It doesn't mean getting stuck in the mud like this reporter did while reporting about receding water in the area.
Like many other journalists, this one decided to get crafty and wanted to do his report inside the emptying dam. But it turns out the ground was still moist, and instead of standing firm, he started sinking into the mud. At least the crew and viewers found it hilarious.
Once Again... Check Your Background
We know that there are some things you can't help with creeping into the background of photos. But some precautions can be taken to at least eliminate the chance of something happening. Take this shot of Melinda Meza, working from home during the lockdown.
Broadcasting from her bathroom, because the story was about hairdressers getting back to work, the KCRA 3 left the door slightly ajar and probably let no one know that she was reporting from there. So during her live report, someone who didn't know about her situation decided to enter the room, bare. This was all caught on live streaming.
Run For Your Lives
Don't we all just love a beautiful summer day? The temperature is up, and it's the best excuse to call in sick and head to the beach. You'd be singing a different tune if it wasn't summer and the maximum temperature is over 1000 degrees.
This happened when weatherman Cory McCloskey did a weather forecast, but the producers got some of the temperatures wrong. While some areas were forecasting temperate conditions in the low 60s, others were sitting at 1270 degrees. The highest was 2,960 degrees. One of the highest temperatures recorded was 159 degrees in Iran's Lut Desert.
Mincing Her Words A Little
The devil is in the details, they say. This is why it's essential to measure everything you say to avoid giving the wrong impression. This is difficult when in a conversation with someone who is moving at an above-average pace—an example of how things can go wrong.
After reporting on corporal punishment, one anchor asked the other if she had experienced it. Her reply was "as a kid... no," which caused an awkward silence because it implied she experienced it as an adult. They quickly trounced the awkwardness by laughing about it to lighten the mood.
It's Family Time All The Time
During the lockdown in 2020, most people had to scramble to make plans for home office setup. The one perk there was is that being home meant having more time for family, although weather man Lonnie Quinn discovered the long way that some family members won't wait for some family time.
His daughters joined him on set while doing a live weather report for WCBS. Despite his best efforts to get them to leave, they wouldn't budge. He carried on the forecast with them in the room and did a pretty good job of remaining professional throughout.
Over To You, Doggy
People love animals. This is most likely the main reason networks do animal specials every once in a while. But animals also have minds of their own, and when they use that mind, not even a handler can make them change it. This is why mishaps like the one in the picture happen.
This was in Russia, where anchorwoman Ilona Linarte was doing a late-night newscast when she suddenly felt something under her desk. She jumped and shrieked but was relieved to discover that it was just a dog coming up. Her viewers must have died with laughter because it was all caught on camera.
Learning The Family Business
With the lockdown due to the Covid situation in 2020, many people had to work from home, including journalists. So, imagine that this man had no time off from his kids, who probably don't get to see enough of him. This must have been an interesting "bring your kid to work" day.
This WCBS meteorologist Lonnie Quinn had a full day at work carrying his little girl and being assisted by the older one to deliver the weather forecast. We can only imagine that many people would have tuned in to watch this because it doesn't happen all the time on TV
A Perfectly Captured Yawn
Everyone gets tired while doing their jobs, no matter how much of a workaholic you are. A journalist who is usually on the field is undoubtedly no exception, if not even part of those we expect that this applies to because it's quite a hectic job to do being on your feet most of the time.
Deedee Sun was quite exhausted and snuck in a yawn on TV. The cameraman must have been a mischievous one for quickly capturing her at that moment. She also joked about it on her social media after seeing that she was the star of a perfectly timed photo.
What's Mommy's Job Anyway?
Despite the transition to working from him for many professions due to the pandemic in 2020, not every profession could keep up with the idea. As a reporter, working from home isn't the most convenient thing, but many did it nonetheless since they had no choice.
Leslie Lopez of KABC was one of the reporters who found herself in that situation, and it seems that on this day, her little child wasn't about to let his mom work without him. He wasn't originally a part of the show, but she simply picked him up and carried on when he crawled in.
The Interrupting Stomach
Interruptions like this drive home the idea that the workplace should be separate from the home. If this news reporter Jessica Lang had been in the office, this would never have happened. When others talk about the advantages of working from home, we're sure she'll have a different perspective on it.
The scene of this picture is when she was delivering a segment while working from home before she was unexpectedly interrupted by her dad walking in with an exposed stomach. She may have felt a bit embarrassed being on TV, but it's her dad; what can she do but accept it?
Self Advertisement
Whenever there's a conflict of interest in a business, it's always better to disclose it and remove yourself from a position of bias. While Charlo Greene was still a reporter, she once did an episode that involved talking about a specific substance that was banned from being consumed. Eventually, the big reveal was that she was running a business in favor of legalizing the substance.
She eventually resigned from the channel and went into the business of promoting that substance full time. At the time she aired an episode about it, her resignation was already part of the plan.
Unplanned Swimming Lesson
Everyone would have their stories about the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to them at work, and for the BBC reporter Mike Bushell, it's probably this day captured in the photo above. He was in the process of interviewing a swimming team that won the Commonwealth Games—a rare opportunity indeed—when he fell into the swimming pool with all his equipment.
The only thing he managed to do before his unfortunate fall was to say "congratulations" to the team, and it would have been okay if he still managed to regain his composure for the rest of the interview. But sadly, that was the end of it.
Pregnancy Trials
We cannot control everything that happens in our lives no matter how much we would like to because some of those things are just out of our control. The CNN anchor Poppy Harlow had no choice but to accept reality the day she passed out on live TV when she was pregnant.
She certainly had no idea that something like that would happen, and viewers got impatiently worried because after it happened, the stream was cut, and the channel went on a commercial break. Thankfully she regained consciousness and revealed the heat had caused her to have breathing difficulties and eventually pass out.
How's The Weather On Your End, Hornet?
There are moments on TV that you know will never make it off the internet, and this one was a case just like that. Jennifer Ketchmark, a well-known meteorologist, had an unexpected guest during her weather report—a hornet—that appeared in front of the camera lens. Being so close to the lens, the creature seemed quite magnified, and the reporter even ran off the stage in fright!
It was a hilarious scene, but Ketchmark still came back to complete her weather report. The hornet possibly had some intel about the weather that it needed to share. We hope the message was passed across.
How Does That Make It To The News?
In our world today, celebrity news is one of the most viral content on the internet, but sometimes, people go too far concerning what they consider to be newsworthy. For example, is it newsworthy that Kylie Jenner named her pet rabbit Bruce?
Although we understand that John Brown was actually asked to cover the story of the naming of the rabbit, talking about it all day on national TV was probably unnecessary, especially considering there were many other more notable things happening in the world. However, people seemed to have no issue with the news despite the expected controversy.
The Search Is Over
It's hard to get over what happened to this ABC anchor Marc Brown even though it's been decades since the incident in the '90s. The news was covering a case of a violator, and there was a sketch of the suspect right on the screen that coincidentally looked very much like the person presenting the news.
Of course, this has become a viral meme, and it's essential to clear the air that Brown wasn't involved in the crime. It's just funny how it looks so much like him, and it seems like he also noticed it and was in shock.
Metahuman Weather Guy
Unexpected mishaps aren't always so bad, depending on the situation. While reporting the weather for WLOS ABC 13, Justin Hinton treated fans to a series of interesting filters on screen. We can imagine that viewers must have enjoyed receiving the weather report on that day.
He even had no idea that different filters were being applied to his face until the comments became apparent to him. That's the kind of accident that viewers do not mind, and it's even possible that the channel's ratings would have gone up that night.
News From The Sky
In a fantastic turn of events, true to the subject of the news about a new addition to the zoo in San Diego, the reporters Nichelle Medina and Eric Kahnert had an unexpected winged visitor on their show. The scarlet ibis bird found its way to the show's set and finally fulfilled its dream of being a part of a news show.
It landed on Medina's head, and she didn't seem bothered by it, but when it flew to say hi to Kahnert, the reception was slightly different. The poor bird must have felt unloved by him and eventually was taken off the set.
The Guest Weatherman
Animals can be a lot of fun, but sometimes they can also be a nuisance. It's not because they want to be, like this dog Ripple who only wished to play with Mike Sobel as he reported the weather. However, he was a bit of a distraction on the show, but Sobel handled it so well.
Sobel is a dog person seeing as he was laughing throughout when the dog was on stage with him, and he continued to report the weather even with the dog on the scene with him. The entire thing went viral as expected, and it even got Ripple a job afterward.
Living Proof
To constantly stay on top of the news, journalists travel far and wide and are exposed to so many risks just to get their job done. It takes a very dedicated individual to be a journalist, and we can say that's the type of person the Fox reporter Steve Keeley is. While reporting about a snowstorm in Woodstown, he almost found himself buried in it.
After taking the risk to access the conditions of the storm, Keeley advised people to stay at home. And as if to drive home his point about the danger, a snow plow knocked him down on-air.
Commercial Break For Two
This picture is quite hilarious, and it proves that everyone is only human after all. The work of an anchor is not an easy task, and doing it every day is also a tedious affair. The famous anchor Tucker Carlson must have been a bit sleep-deprived and decided to take a break as the show took a commercial break.
We don't know if he hoped to finish his nap by the time the show resumed, but as you can see, that wasn't the case. It's not every day you see an anchor asleep on live TV, and his co-anchors mischievously ensured not to disrupt his beauty sleep.
Getting Soaked Is Part Of The Game
The Fox Sports reporter Emily Jones gets on the baseball field post-game to interview the players, and she goes in fully aware that she may have some Powerade drink poured on her by them. It had become a trend among players and reporters to do this, and they seem to take it with good humor.
Although many people criticized the players for their actions, Jones let critics know that it wasn't such a big deal to her because they played in such ways among themselves. It was pretty hilarious to watch, and she continued her interview.
The Dog Needs To Be In The Show
The issue of distractions when working from home remains one of the flaws of that work system despite its many advantages. And with a job that requires you to be on camera, it becomes an issue everyone will see. Imagine how disturbing it must have been for the meteorologist Scott Connell when his dog kept causing interruptions to his daily report.
The dog only wanted attention, and it's not like it can understand the dynamics of the work being done or what it requires. Connel eventually managed one uninterrupted take that his producer could use.
Playing It Cool
A presenter's job is tough enough, but when the technical things that make it go smoothly fail, things get even more challenging. This is one of the longest BBC technical mishaps, and it wasn't very pleasant for the network, considering that millions of people must have been watching.
Although it was just about three minutes of technical difficulties, it was highly significant because things should be flawless in a facility as big as the BBC. But mistakes happen to us all no matter what, and the anchor, Hugh Edwards, went on like nothing was wrong.
Being A Part Of The Sport
Charissa Thompson has made a name for herself as a sports presenter for Fox Sports, but she once worked with ESPN as the co-host for SportsNation. Some unforgettable moments in her career happened when she was still working in this capacity, particularly a blooper that occurred behind the scenes.
In one episode, she unexpectedly got hit by a paper ball while in front of the camera, but it wasn't a live recording. We imagine what would have happened on live TV; who knows if she would recover from it.
What's The Hamster's Crime?
Sometimes, when bloopers happen on-air in pretty crucial situations, it's the anchor's job to handle it so that it doesn't get out of hand. In this situation that happened on Channel 3, a hamster was displayed instead of displaying the suspect in the missing girl case that was the subject of the news.
Considering how cute the hamster is, we doubt anyone would have taken much offense at the blunder. The reporter also helped the situation by recognizing the problem and acknowledging the error. You have to agree, though, that Rodney Stanger could as well be a hamster's name.
Emergency In The Fashion Department
Fashion is a big culprit in the unimaginable bloopers you may have seen on TV. And while dressing up can make you look amazing and give you confidence, errors in fashion can be hard to recover from. The less famous reporters may get away with some blunders but not famous ones like Samantha Armytage.
The well-known reporter had viewers wondering what went wrong when her colleague was seen placing his hand over her waist after a commercial break. She appeared visibly embarrassed and uncomfortable and ran off the set. It was later discovered that her belt was unbuckled after she sneezed.
Not Your Time To Shine
As a reporter, you may be the only one who understands the gravity and importance of your job; others may not. A case in point is this man from Santa Barbara who thought it was cool to interrupt a report that was live on-air. He appeared eager to take a selfie with the known reporter John Palminteri, but that didn't sit well with the reporter.
He wasn't all too happy with his work being taken with levity like that, and it's clear he was not in the mood for it from the photo of him pushing the young man out of the camera.
Accelerated Global Warming
Seeing these numbers would have alarmed anybody, but this weather forecaster Cory McCloskey remained calm, even though he knew something was wrong with those temperatures. It really couldn't be that hot in those regions, so he played it cool and reported it like that.
He still gave a theatrical report, noting that the temperatures were high, and he joked about not having the jurisdiction to evacuate the people in those regions. Still, he advised that they find a way out while it was possible. Maybe somewhere at the back of his mind, he was still worried about those numbers.
A Family Affair
During Robert Kelly's live deliberation of President Park Geun-Hye's impeachment, leaving the door open was probably not the best idea, but he did it either way. His daughters eventually came into the room in the middle of that important session, hoping to play with their father.
To add to the drama, his wife quickly came into the room to grab the intruding girls, even though her entrance was also a distracting event in itself. Kelly must have thought the show to be a disaster, but his family had gained some celebrity status in the process.
Keeping It Simple
The internet won't forget the day that the weatherman Michael Fish severely downplayed the urgency of a cyclone that hit Great Britain in 1987 when he casually gave the weather report about a woman worried that a hurricane was fast approaching.
It's a different situation when trying to make sure people stay calm if there's no real cause for alarm. But not accurately relaying the severity of the situation led to late responses, and eventually many lives and properties were destroyed by the violent winds. It was a significant error on his part and one that he continues to be sorry for.
Who So Sad?
Who made Tomasz Schafernaker so sad, you may ask? The technical crew surely deserves all the blame in that regard. If only they had responded to his "Hello," he would have known that everything was alright and the show could go on. But after getting no response, this meteorologist showed a sincere look of disappointment.
He had no idea he was live on-air and eventually started pacing around the room, casually picking his nails as if he was in a private space. It was a rare and funny occasion, and we hope he didn't feel too embarrassed after realizing he had been on-air for some time.
An Escaped Chuckle
When you're the face of a channel as an anchor, it's essential to maintain a certain composure. That may mean composing yourself in the face of something you would naturally laugh so hard at. On this particular day, it was hard for the KFOX news anchor Hema Mullur to keep the giggles to herself.
Now, there wasn't anything funny about the story she was covering, but it seemed that the mugshot of the convicted felon in her story was quite hilarious, and we can bet that many people found it funny. However, she had to step aside to let someone more composed continue the reporting.
Always Prepared
You'd think that only field reporters and journalists are at risk of unexpected dangers. Still, from what happened within the four walls of the KTLA media room during a live show, you'll understand that there's incredible danger everywhere. Two of the channel's anchors were caught in a strong earthquake that posed a significant risk to them.
That's not your everyday scene on a live show, but the preparedness of one anchor for the situation was amazing, and her clear-headed approach may have saved them all from the danger. She immediately instructed everyone to take cover under the tables as she did.
A Fowl Experience
There was a bird infestation in the local area, and a reporter decided to cover the story. You should know that a seasoned journalist doesn't mind going into the heat of a developing situation to get exclusive details on the news.
With that in mind, it wasn't surprising that the reporter felt it would be a greater story if he covered it where the birds were located. Unfortunately, the risks became a reality, and he found himself covered in bird droppings, even on his face and mouth. We only hope the story was worth it in the end.
Sinking Career
You would see all sorts of things on live TV, especially local news, where reporters tend to feel so much at home, like this reporter in our photo. While covering a story about receding lake water in one area, he took risky steps and jumped in, perhaps for a more authentic story, but this was the wrong choice.
He became a meme on live TV when he found himself stuck in the muddy water, and the more he tried to get out, the more he sank like it was quicksand. The rest of his crew found the situation to be hilarious, but hopefully, they saved him in time.An Interesting Reveal On-Air
Being in front of cameras all day long makes news reporters seem overly composed, and that's the general idea we've come to have about them. But situations like this awkward banter between these two anchors reveal that they are just regular human beings.
In the process of discussing corporal punishment on-air, the male anchor casually put a question forward to the female anchor asking her if she experienced something like that as a child and her response "As a kid, no" implied she did as an adult. We all know she was referring to it in a racy kind of way. They tried hard to contain their laughter.
Work Hard, Play Harder
Cases like this with the Spanish reporter Alfonso Merlos add to the long list of reasons the workplace should be separate from the home. After only recently getting a divorce, a woman assumed to be his mistress was caught wearing nothing while he worked on his screen.
It was a pretty big deal that caused Merlos issues even though he gave the public an apology. The challenge is that the internet never forgets, so we are still talking about it up to date. The take-home is simply to keep work and personal life separate.
Not Your Typical Superhero
The "Good Morning America" presenter Sara Haines had to learn the hard way that superheroes are only real on TV, and no one should expect to be saved by them in real life. On the other hand, we learned that lesson from her experience in Times Square when she faked a swoon hoping a man dressed as spiderman would catch her before she fell.
Unfortunately, the costume didn't come with spidey senses, and this superhero didn't respond in time to save her. It was a hilarious fall, but at least the man still went ahead to pick her up from the floor. Haines also had a good laugh about the situation.
Oops! That Came Out Wrong
The worst blooper moment for a news reporter is using an inappropriate word accidentally because there's no way to come back from that. The Virginia news reporter Holly Pietrzak made an unforgettable blunder when using the "F" word on live TV.
She didn't mean to say it, though. The context of what she tried to express was completely different as the intended sentence was "Teens are in luck of finding summer jobs." The news went viral instantly, making her pretty famous even though it was for something inappropriate. She still apologized for the blunder later, and all was forgiven.
Just Couldn't Fit
We said the worst thing that could happen to a reporter is accidentally using inappropriate language, right? Well, scratch that. This blunder tops that by a lot. This error could embarrass anyone to the point of no return, and we just can't imagine how the Romanian meteorologist Roxana Vancea would have felt after it happened.
Innocently giving the weather report was entirely something else when her breast slipped out of her top. Perhaps the top wasn't the right size or fit for her, but there was no coming back from that. Unsurprisingly, many people began to follow her on social media, and she was offered many modeling deals.
A Revealing Forecast
Like celebrities in films and TV shows, reporters need to pay a lot of attention to their appearance since they'll be going live on TV. The case of this weather journalist Jacqueline Bennet was a wardrobe malfunction that people haven't still gotten over since it happened in 2010.
She probably had no idea that the conditions of the reporting room would render her blouse see-through, and it became the more important item instead of the weather. She, however, continued her report despite the situation, and it was handled like a pro.
Must Be Chilly, Put This On
Unfortunately, it's not always your choice what to wear when you're a TV personality, especially if your style causes viewers to be uncomfortable. Yes, it doesn't sound fair, but it's where the world is right now, and the compromise would better help you avoid issues.
Liberte Chan didn't notice anything wrong with her outfit while reporting the weather, but viewers did, and they sent emails about it. It was quite a scene to see her handed a sweater on live TV, and she must have felt a little bit embarrassed. But she handled it well and promised not to repeat the dress.
The Runway Exit
When reporting the news, the focus needs to remain on the news. After all, that's the reason people tune in, right? But this weather woman, Yanet Garcia, seems to have taken all the attention away from the weather and given it to herself.
Viewers who couldn't help but notice that she is pretty happy would have had much to say about it since she was on TV, but the crew members did the talking for them. While she was exiting the stage, they played the song "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk, a decision that showed they noticed what we all witnessed.
Reporter Or Model?
We easily concluded that Nalié López wasn't supposed to be working on this day, and perhaps it was just an impromptu thing. So, she came as she was to deliver the weather forecast. The focus wasn't the weather on this day, though, but how the Mexican reporter rocked the bright red vest and brown shorts.
Being on TV exposed her to many eyes, including those that felt her talents were wasted being a reporter alone, and it presented her with a fantastic side gig of being a model. She continues to report the weather today, but she is also doing well in the modeling world.
50 Cents For A Kiss?
Okay, hold up! What we have here is truly a rare moment in television because it's not every day you get to see the rapper 50 Cent give a kiss to a reporter on live TV. This day must have been peculiar for Erin Andrews, who happened to be the subject of the social media uproar that this caused.
It was meant to be a simple day for the reporter giving the gist of the Daytona racing event in 2013. But while she hoped to get an interview with Danica Patrick, she bumped into the rapper, and we still don't know the reason for the kiss.
A Chance At Fame
It's probably a lifelong dream for many people to be on TV, and this man here indeed made the most out of it. It looks as if the woman anchoring the live show didn't know anything was happening behind her and went on with her business.
But as you can imagine, she had the shock of her life when she turned and saw a stranger co-anchoring the news with her. We are sure that Wendy will never forget this experience; the young man has also quickly become famous for this stunt.
The Invisible Woman
You'd think there are some chameleon genes in the meteorologist Liberte Chan, who seemed to always blend with the screen when she reported the weather. In this case, it went a bit too far and appeared as though she was even see-through on-screen.
If this is what it means to be transparent with the news, then she is most likely the best at her job, but on a more serious note, no one could understand what was happening with her outfit this day, and a colleague had to help viewers out by handing her a jacket to wear.
Blending In
While reporting the weather one day, Belinda Russell gave viewers a scare as she appeared in what seemed to be no clothing at all. It wasn't easy to decipher until later that she was covered in a full-body suit the same color as her skin, which is why she appeared to be bare on live TV. Just imagine the initial shock for viewers.
After the worry settled, everyone wondered what informed that choice of outfit color, although her fashion sense on-screen had always been rather peculiar. When she found out about people's worries, she admitted that a different color would have worked better for the outfit.
Flaunting Those Legs
If you've got it, then you should flaunt it! Perhaps that's the motto of the Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle who doesn't miss an opportunity to show off her beautiful legs on TV. Even the show producers appreciate that part of her and don't hesitate to highlight it during her segment.
Viewers have reacted to this differently, with some appreciating the view and others complaining that it is unprofessional. Many who have an issue with her dressing claim that it distracts people from the news and distracts some of her fellow anchors from doing their jobs.
Showcasing The Husband To The World
Again, we see challenges that TV personalities faced by having to do their reporting from home during the pandemic. Perhaps that period was rife with many anchor bloopers, including Melinda Meza, who reported from her bathroom to discuss hairstylists who wished to get back to work.
But when at home, we assume you should inform the people in the house about your intention to use certain areas for work. If she had done that, we believe she could have avoided having her broadcast hijacked by a bare man stepping out of the shower—most likely her husband—but no one ever talked about it.
Pulling Pants Prank
How do you think you'll react if someone pulled a prank like this on you on live TV? Reporters go through a lot, and we hope their salary is worth all this trouble. So many people would have been watching this at home, and suddenly, they see the reporter is half bare.
This happened at Washington Square Park, and it was the most unexpected and embarrassing thing for the reporter. He even got so enraged that he tried to chase the culprit, but he couldn't do anything because his pants were down, and so many people were watching live.
A New Co-Anchor
News anchors need to be prepared for anything while doing their jobs, and they need to know how to manage any situation. Ilona Linarte, like many other news anchors, is aware of what her job entails, but she must have been thrown off balance by this unusual guest.
It would have been a different story if this was her dog and she brought him from home to work with her that day, but the situation was quite different. The Labrador Retriever strayed and found itself in the news arena while the show was on. It's safe to say it finally got the attention it lacked.
Only Wearing What Matters
This is hilarious to see, but it's also very common these days. With jobs happening from the comfort of the home, many people don't wish to go through the hassle of dressing up while doing their jobs. But when your job is reporting the news, you have to dress the part for your viewers.
However, this man Majid Asfour concluded that the only part of him that needed to have clothes on was the part of him that people needed to see. He only dressed himself up at the top half of his body and left the bottom half to enjoy the liberties of being at home.
Wannabe Pirate
Hollywood is undoubtedly a den of many different personalities, and there's nothing that should come as a surprise to any reporter who finds themself on the scene. But Madison Brooks had an unexpected scare when a wannabe Captain Jack from "Pirates of the Caribbean" began sniffing her hair from behind her.
Thankfully, she gained her balance again and began to address the strange man, but that wasn't supposed to be the content of the news. She was there to report on the "Breaking Bad" season finale, but it seems the pirate came and stole the show. How typical!
Backward Feminism
After the long and hard battle for women's rights and their inclusion at the helm of affairs in the country, imagine hearing from a fellow woman on live TV that women weren't experienced enough to take part in the voting process, their constitutional right. Kimberly Guilfoyle received severe backlash for those comments, but her opinions didn't even end there.
Later on, she also suggested that many young people would rather worry about finding a partner on the internet through online dating sites than be present at the ballot boxes to vote. It's disappointing that, as of 2014, people still thought that way.
